I think one of the more important things is flossing, which is a pain, especially when you have a couple of bridges, and you have to get under them. I've been using Doctor's BrushPicks for years, and my dentist and hygienist always say my in-betweens look great.

And I use a regular old toothbrush most often, but a few times a week, I'll use my electric one just to change things up. :)

Enjoyed your writing about it. :)

That's really interesting that you still manage to use both a regular toothbrush and an electric! I feel like most people choose a side and never look back, haha.

Yeah, maybe I should write a whole new piece on flossing. That's a whole other beast. But you're right, I've had some dentists tell me that flossing is more important than brushing. I've gotten pretty good at establishing the flossing habit but it took me a while. Lots of trial and error on different flosses that worked better for me.

Thanks so much for reading Roshana!

Using an electric toothbrush has seriously changed the feedback I get in my 6 month dental check ups! Anything that makes this habit stick is so helpful!

Yeah, it seems like it's the big question dentists all ask these days, electric or old fashioned? And yet, for a long time they would tell you that electric brushes were best and then give you a cheap little plastic toothbrush in your "dentist goodie bag" haha. I think only in my last visit was I actually given a new brush head for my electric brush. Things are improving!

Thanks so much for reading Michelle!
